You may use Custom block for this purposes, just put “Dial(${FAX1},20,D(wwww0${ARG1}w))” in Custom component.

We started out with the trial version, but even after we purchased the license we ran into this a few times. It’s been saving properly for about a week now without any problems. I found that the problem would arise when working in a specific context (which could be different each time). It was usually the last context I had edited. Sometimes removing my most recent change would allow me to save, and other times deleting the context & re-creating it would do the trick. However, depending on the complexity of the context, deleting it & starting over is not always the best option.
Is this a trial version of visual dialplan? If so, they are limited as to the number of times you can save a dialplan. Perhaps you are running into this??

By default, remote access to MySQL database server is disabled for security reasons. In other words MySQL will not accept connections from other hosts besides local host. To overcome this issue you will need to give permission to the host trying to connect to the MySQL database.
Also you may try with Apstel Integration Server. I am using Integration Server for database and payment server access, it’s so much easier to work with one IS block instead of using several MySQL Addons blocks.
However, the downside is you have to buy additional IS licenses if you wish to handle more than one concurrent call with your dial plan, but it’s worth every dollar.Gomes
Check y option (starting from asterisk 1.8):
y: Terminate recording if *any* DTMF digit is received.John
For what you want I believe that it should be possible. For the log it might be good to use a MySQL database (using Integration Server) to keep the status information that you need. All of this should work with Elastix (although I use Trixbox myself).
Jim,
Asterisk defined varibale EXTEN can not be modified with the set command, you should create and use some other variable for this purposes.

Here is a simple example on how to save the dialed number and use it later in the dial plan:

Hello Lee,
This is a bug and it will be fixed in the next minor product release.
In the meantime you may use the following work around:
1. Use Set building block to assign random value to a variable, please check link below

Migrated from old forum.
Hi Vicky,
Have you noticed note text boxes in Context window. In this text boxes there is a link to a zip file containing all the voice files needed for that sample. For example in time_branching sample you have this comment text box: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/11/pic1xo.png/(external link)
I checked time_branching, outbound_banned and is-db-single-select samples from Visual Dialplan 3.1.01 samples folder and they work just fine.
Also I had a little trouble to get IS sample running properly, I added Answer block in front of Agi block and changed host name from localhost to my numeric IP address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) in Integration Server properties window, then it worked as it should. I am using elastix 2.0.4 version. In addition you may try with newer Visual Dialplan 3.1.06 version, where IS sample issue is fixed.
Could you attach Asterisk command line interface (CLI) log for some non working example?
Raman
Hi Raman,
I am using visual dial plan 3.1.01 trial version.
I am using elastic 1.3
I do have few voice samples to successfully run the dial plan. But i have no clue regarding downloading voice files from Apstel site.
Can you please assist me regarding that?Vicky
Vicky,
Can you be a little more specific, which Visual Dialplan version are you using?
Which Asterisk distribution is used (plain asterisk or GUI (Elastix, Trixbox, PIAF, FreePBX..)?One more question, do you have all the needed voice files for dial plan samples?
In order to successfully run dial plan samples you will need to download the voice files from Apstel site.
The downloaded files need to be placed in the /var/lib/asterisk/sounds/ directory.Raman
