I am running Visual Dialplan on MS Windows OS platform for some time and it works just fine. Today I installed it on my Ubuntu Linux OS laptop and launched the application but the window that appears is blank (white).
I downloaded Visual Dialplan for Linux from http://www.apstel.com, the latest version.
    Am I doing something wrong?

    Daniel,
What version of java do you have installed? Are you launching VDP from a cli or from within x-windows itself? Not sure what would cause it since I haven’t used it under linux much.

    Hello Daniel,

We tested Visual Dialplan on Ubuntu linux and it works just fine.
I guess the issue is with Beryl.
There is known bug in Java (Visual Dialplan is written in Java)and Ubuntu and Beryl, you can find more info about it at: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6509038(external link)

I can only suggest you to try the following work around:
First start metacity with: metacity –replace
    Then start Visual Dialplan.
And THEN start Beryl with: beryl –replace

    OR

Add the following lines to your ~/.bash_profile:
    AWT_TOOLKIT=MToolkit
    export AWT_TOOLKIT

and you should log off and then log in again and try to start Visual Dialplan again.

Please let us know if this helped you.

    Best regards,
    Michael Denich
