    I am using asterisk ver 1.6 with freepbx. when I configure connection to asterisk server and test connection I get a response saying I am using
    asterisk version 1.6 and and server type as plain asterisk, when in
    reality I am using freepbx as server type. Can someone please help with this
    problem. Thank you in advance.

    Romerjm,
    Depending on the asterisk distribution it may or may not detect it correctly. Just manually select Freepbx and you should be fine.
