    I have quite a complex IVR system working in conjunction with hardware that’s now obsolete and I need to know if it’s at all possible to keep my existing VB code running under windows7 and just substitue the old kit with Asterisk? In an ideal world I’d like to pass the basics ie caller ID, wav files etc between the two leaving my core VB application to the complicated stuff but I’m not sure if I’m wasting my time going down this line?

    Any thoughts would be apreciated.

    I think it is possible and better to replace the old kit with Asterisk. This way the entire system will be easier to maintain, and if necessary, to extend it.
    It should not be so hard to find Asterisk consultants who may help you with this or to contact directly apstel for help. They provide premium support service.
