    when trying to save server preferances in visual dial plan i get
    the folowwing errror unable to save preferences.config \application. properties
    (access is denied)

    The issue is probably linked with UAC (User Account Control) if you are using Windows 7 or Vista.
    To resolve the issue you need to disable or turn off UAC entirely.
