I have user who has upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 and when he deploys the dial plan the file gets loaded on the server, but the dial plan itself doesn’t get reloaded. The “Reload dialplan after deploy” check box is selected. This was working with 3.0. Another item of note is that when he clicks “Test connection” he gets the following message: “Connection to the server has been successfully established, but automatic version detection failed. Please select version manually. Server type has been detected as Plain Asterisk. Please verify if this is correct.” This user is running a Mac OSX workstation with Parallels VM running Windows 7 in which VPD 3.1 is running.

I’ve tried a deployment with from another workstation running 3.1 with the same file and server and the dialplan reload works. Also licking test connection has no problem detecting the Asterisk version. This workstation is 64bit Windows 7 as well. This installer had some difficulty in upgrading to 3.1 but I don’t seem to have same problem.

Anything we should try besides just doing a clean install of VDP?

    thanks,
    Paolo

    Hello Paolo,

I guess the best approach would be doing a clean install of Visual Dialplan. Please backup your work and then uninstall and delete all files before you install Visual Dialplan again.

Also, please note that Visual Dialplan is not tested in Mac OSX environment. We do not support Mac OSX.

I hope this answer your questions.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further question.
